Mold is a growing issue. Pun intended. Seriously, though, not only is mold an increasingly common problem for homeowners, but it’s also a problem that spreads over time if not remediated completely, or better yet, stopped before it starts. To help you fight the battle against mold growth, we’d like to focus on one of the rooms in your home that is most susceptible to the growth of mold – your bathroom.
The reason why mold can grow so easily in bathrooms is that there’s a tremendous amount of moisture that passes through the typical bathroom every day. After a warm bath or shower, moisture can linger in the air for hours afterward. Leaky plumbing fixtures or pipes can lead to water damage and contribute to mold growth. Wet wallpaper, rugs, and towels also contribute. Removing wet objects and repairing leaks are important to fighting mold growth in your bathroom.
