In the day and age that we’re living in, it’s nearly impossible to be “too careful.” If it’s not a direct threat to our family’s or our own safety, it may be a threat to someone else’s safety that we might be held accountable for. For these and many other reasons, a lot of homeowners have installed security cameras in and around their homes. Is this something that might be beneficial for your property?
Security cameras are far less conspicuous nowadays than they used to be, sticking out like sore thumbs on the side of commercial buildings. (see the attached image!) Some are nested inside of doorbells, others blend right in with your siding. Alternatively, you might want your cameras to be obvious to deter thieves. Wired security cameras offer greater longevity and durability, but are more difficult to install. You might go for wireless cameras instead, but don’t forget that these need to be charged from time to time.
