If you’ve ever been inside an industrial building, you know that they are not always the picture of cleanliness. Dirt, dust, grime, and other things like these are the price paid for making stuff and getting hard work done. However, they can also be hazardous to the health of people inside the building. To prevent issues like lung cancer and other respiratory problems, most industrial buildings have at least one baghouse attached to their facility. What’s a baghouse?

I’m glad you asked. A baghouse works a lot like a filter on your traditional vacuum cleaner or air conditioner. Air flows through it, catches certain things, and the air comes out the other side cleaner and fresher. For an industrial baghouse, this means pushing air through several funnel-shaped filter bags, each designed to clean the air at a different level of granularity. Like any filter, baghouses need to be cleaned and repaired from time to time, and the filters need to be replaced periodically.
